![]() Story-wise what I've seen seemed pretty par-for-the-course, and personally I haven't really seen anyone rave about it so far - but that's pretty subjective, after all. It feels ripe for cookie-cutter builds and it doesn't help that Blizzard historically has a reputation for pretty terrible balancing - but as you said, it's still quite early to say for sure. When it comes to builds I very well could be wrong, but everything I've seen so far from items to the skill trees doesn't fill me with confidence. Itemization seems boring and simplistic, it takes quite a while for it to become interesting and even then never at the level of other ARPGs. Unfortunately I can't say I agree - the combat animations look pretty good, but the combat in general feels weirdly stiff to me. And sometimes people pirate due to the high cost of games in their country. People who want to buy the game, will (day 1 or on sale). Personally, I don't boycott games if they have DRM, but I know that nowadays they don't really do much and it's more of a placebo effect if anything. Imagine having the whole progression in your single-player game tied to servers. ![]() ![]() Remember how legit Assassin's Creed 2 players got a worse experience than those with a pirated copy since they didn't need to be always online to run it? We are now at the stage where the community may need to step in and create some sort of alternative (like they are doing with Hitman) in case you want to play the game offline. DRM (like the online always stuff) only makes people dislike it even more. Yet, people chose not to and bought it instead. It also had zero DRM and could be downloaded from any piracy website and played easily. Witcher 3 was a AAA game developed by an indie studio (self-published) and it sold a shit ton of copies. This is always the best argument to anyone saying DRM is the cause of piracy affecting sales. ![]()
